GET
/inboxes/{inbox_id}/threads/{thread_id}/emails/{email_id}Retrieve an email from a thread
Retrieves a specific email from an inbox thread. Use the inbox, thread, and email identifiers to select the message whose details you need.
inbox_idstringrequired
The UUID of the inbox containing the thread; an email address is not accepted.
thread_idstringrequired
The UUID of the thread containing the email.
email_idstringrequired
The UUID of the email to retrieve, as returned by the list thread emails endpoint.
200Returns the email's ID, direction, sender and recipient addresses, subject, message ID, HTML and plain-text bodies, attachments, read state, and received timestamp.
idstringrequired
The ID of the message.
directionstringrequired
Whether the inbox received the message (`inbound`) or sent it (`outbound`). A message the inbox sent to itself is `inbound`, so a reply to it goes to its sender.
fromstringrequired
Sender email address. Includes the display name when the sender has one, in the format "Name <sender@domain.com>".
toarray<string>required
The recipients of the message. For a received message, these are the addresses it was delivered to, not the full `To` header.
ccarray<string>required
The CC recipients of the message.
bccarray<string>required
The BCC recipients of the message. Always empty for a received message.
reply_toarray<string>required
The Reply-To addresses of the message.
subjectstringrequired
The subject of the message.
message_idstringrequired
The Message-ID header of the message.
htmlstringrequired
The HTML body.
textstringrequired
The plain-text body.
attachmentsarray<object>required
The attachments of the message.
readbooleanrequired
Whether the message has been read.
received_atstringrequired
Timestamp when the inbox received the message, or when the inbox sent it.
Error handling
The inbox_id, thread_id, and email_id path parameters must each be UUIDs, and the email must belong to the specified thread and inbox.
